Highlanders V British & Irish Lions

by - 22:09

First of all, I would like to give a massive shout to my Mum & Dad for shouting me a ticket to go and see my favourite rugby team in the world, the Highlanders, take on the British & Irish Lions.

Even though, it was bloody freezing cold, for the hour or so we were there I did enjoy it!

As the game day was on Luc's birthday, the whanau headed up the night before so we could go out for dinner with Lucini. We ended up just eating at the hotel restaurant because Dunedin was so bloody packed out.

Turns out it wasn't a bad decsion because the Lions were staying at the same hotel, so of cours, Warren Gatland (the coach) and his management team come down for a few beers, so that was pretty rad seeing them.

Anyway, it was a pretty early night that night. And then up at 6:30am to open Luc's birthday presents for his 20th birthday! Woohoo.

We had a buffet brekkie, then wandered around Dirty Dunners for a bit before going to lunch at Speights Ale House and starting the predrinks. Then we went to the Octagon for more predrinks until we left for Forsyth Barr Stadium.

After the game, Luc and I said bye to mum, dad & Zane and headed out for a massive night on the town. It was a biggie, and work the next day was not fun at all for me.
