Turning 20...

by - 15:44

I'm such a child when it comes to things like holidays and birthdays.

23rd of December? I won't sleep because it's christmas eve the next day.
24th of December? Don't even get me started. I'll fall asleep at 1am and be wide awake at 5am.
Easter Sunday? You bet I was up most of the night getting excited.
The eve of my birthday? Yup, it's no different.

I just can't help it. Normally I am a sleeper from way back. Let me sleep for 8 hours, get up have a snack and I could happily go back and sleep for another 8 with no worries. But when it comes to special occasions you'd almost think I suffer from insomnia.

So weird. So random. I know.

Especially because I turned the big 2.0 yesterday. Wheeeeeew!

Cue ugly snapchat collages on my Facebook wall and mum bringing out some pics from when I was just a wee nipper!

Even though it didn't really feel like my birthday, i'm was still super excited and loving all the special attention I received. It really makes me feel loved and happy that I know the people that I do.

I haven't received any presents from my family - and I won't until the weekend when they come visit me - but I have received a couple gifts.

Dylan absolutely spoilt me. Not only shouting my accommodation for a night in Hanmer Springs, but also buying me a BRAND SPANKIN' NEW Macbook Pro (with Retina display #OMG) I couldn't even deal. I was so stoked, I didn't know how to react.

1. Because I was absolutely over the moon
2. Because I didn't want to look like a brat who gets everything
3. I didn't want to look ungrateful

So, it took me a while to get the balance of my emotions right, but I think I got there in the end.

But YAY for a new MacBook Pro with Retina display!

He also took me to Hanmer for the weekend which so rad and relaxing and I loved it.

My fabulous BFFL's of whom I flat with gave me the cutest present. They surprised me downstairs with balloons, a party hat and party blowers which was so cool. And then they gave me some cute new pyjamas, a yummy Glasshouse candle and a box of Speights. I was so stoked.

Then we had a couple wines and beers before watching the new movie San Andreas. It was a great low-key birthday and I can't wait to hang out with mum and dad on the weekend!
